Linden Hall students achieved a median SAT Reasoning Test score of 1970 in 2010, thereby posting the highest SAT scores in the region, the second highest SAT scores of any girls’ boarding school in the United States, and the second highest SAT scores of any small boarding school of any type in the United States. We are extremely proud of our students and faculty for establishing such a high level of excellence.

The excellent standardized testing record of our students, both domestic and international, is compelling evidence of the strength of Linden Hall’s college-preparatory academic program.

Linden Hall does enroll a fraction of its student body from other nations, and for these students English is a second or even a third language. All Advanced Placement (AP), SAT Math, and SAT Subject Test statistics compiled at Linden Hall use all student results, including students for whom English is not their native language. SAT verbal statistics at Linden Hall include all students with the possible exception of those international students who benefit during the college admission process from submitting the TOEFL exam, which is precisely the purpose of that exam.

The combination of 1970 in SAT and 4.6 in AP provides compelling evidence to conclude that Linden Hall’s academic program is the finest of any girls’ boarding/day school in the United States and the finest in the region.
